Terms of Service

What this is

GrandeTicket reads photographs of handwritten field tickets and turns them into structured data and invoices. You upload paper you already have; we read it, check the arithmetic against itself, and flag what we are unsure of.

Using the service means you agree to what is on this page. If you do not, do not use it.

You check the numbers before you send them

This is the important one. Handwriting is read by a machine, and a machine can misread a 3 as an 8. We show you the original next to every figure and mark the ones that do not add up, but the invoice goes out under your name, and you are responsible for what is on it.

Do not send an invoice you have not looked at. If a ticket comes back marked “check this”, check it. We built the review screen to make that fast, not to make it optional.

Your account

One account is for one business. Anyone who can read your email can sign in as you, so keep that mailbox secure. Tell us if you think someone else has got in.

Do not upload documents that are not yours to upload, and do not use the service to break the law or to try to break the service.

Your data is yours

The tickets you upload and everything read from them belong to you. We store and process them so the product can work, and for nothing else — we do not sell them and we do not use them to train models. Export them or delete them whenever you like. What we do with them is spelled out in the privacy policy.

Paying

Plans are monthly, in Canadian dollars, and each includes a number of ticket reads. Go over that number and reads keep working at $0.25 each — we do not stop you mid-stack — and the extra appears on your next invoice. Free accounts have no payment method, so they stop at a hard cap instead.

Cancel any time from the billing portal; you keep the plan until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-months, but if something went wrong on our side, email us and we will make it right.

What we promise, and what we don't

We will keep the service running and your data safe as well as we reasonably can. We cannot promise perfect accuracy on handwriting, and we cannot promise the service is never down.

To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. We are not liable for lost profit or for consequences downstream of an invoice you sent — which is the other side of the coin from the section above: you check the numbers, so the numbers are yours.

Ending it

You can close your account at any time. We can suspend an account that is being used to break the law or to attack the service, and we will tell you why. If we ever shut the service down, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to get your data out.

Law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada. If we change them we will update this page and the date at the top, and email you about anything significant.
